There can be few places left in Europe where you can totally switch off from the pressure of modern life as you can in Bruges. Its beauty and tranquillity are outstanding and one of the most perfectly preserved medieval towns in Europe.

Our short city breaks to Bruges couldn't be any easier to get to being only a short Eurostar journey away and with Bruges being steeped in rich heritage and having picture postcard beauty, it's no wonder it's known as the Venice of the North.

In Bruges, visitors now flock to explore the cobbled streets and old guild houses in the Market Place but it is the canals with their ancient humped bridges that create its unique character. Bruges is small enough to explore by foot, horsedrawn carriage or by canal boat. There are many museums and art flourish to see, good restaurants abound and pretty shops sell lace, Flemish tapestry, speciality beers and chocolates.
