Change in the Tour de France 2008 track: Two stages will start from Embrun

The 15th stage of the Tour de France 2008 from Digne-les-Bains to Prato Nevoso would normally have taken the Col de Larche on Sunday July 20th to arrive in Italy. This mountain has now however become the reason behind a change in the track and in the start city of this French/Italian stage...(more)
Tour de France 2008: Team selection published

We've been waiting for this since a while now, but ASO first wanted to see the results in Paris-Nice 2008 before announcing the selection of cycling teams which would be inivted for the Tour de France 2008. Now the list is finally known.
A list without too many surprises: without Astana, with the 17 other UCI ProTour teams and with 3 extra teams: 2 of which have done at least one Tour before (Agritubel and Barloworld) and one new team for the Tour (Slipstream Chipotle)...(more)
The Tour de France back in London before Olympics in 2012?

London would love to get the Tour de France back for a Grand Départ from the English city as soon as possible, preferrably even before the Olympic Games in 2012.
Today Christian Prudhomme, the Tour de France director, gave the Mayor of London some hope!
At a meeting between Prudhomme and Ken Livingstone, London's Mayor, today, the director of the Tour was very pleased to receive London's official candidacy...(more)
